The troubles of Nupur Sharma, surrounded by remarks during the TV debate on Prophet Mohammad, are increasing continuously. A case was registered against him in the police in connection with this statement. Now Mumbai Police will soon issue summons to them and call them for questioning.
Mumbai Police Commissioner Sanjay Pandey has said this. Pandey said the Mumbai Police will soon summon suspended BJP spokesperson Nupur Sharma and record her statement for her remarks during a TV debate on the Gyanvapi issue. He said that whatever necessary action is taken in this regard will be taken.

Nupur Sharma had commented on Prophet Mohammad during a TV debate and after that the very next day Mumbai Police registered a case in this matter. The case was filed by Irfan Shaikh, joint secretary of Raza Academy. Mumbai Police Commissioner Sanjay Pandey said that a case was registered against Nupur Sharma on the night of 29 May. A case has been registered against Nupur Sharma under section 295A of IPC. Under this, he has been accused of inciting religious enmity. Apart from this, a case has been registered under section 153A on charges of increasing enmity between two groups.

Qatar, Kuwait and Iran have protested by summoning Indian ambassadors to the statements of Nupur Sharma and Naveen Jindal. Qatar-Kuwait has demanded an apology from the Indian government on this statement. At the same time, Saudi Arabia has also objected to this statement. Meanwhile, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) of 57 Muslim countries has also condemned it.
