Police party with three accused caught with heroin
Police have arrested 3 youths with heroin in Jalandhar, Punjab. Police got five grams of intoxicant from the pockets of the three youths. The police claim that these three were going to give this drug to someone else.
Police station in-charge Ramamandi Navdeep Singh told that the police staff had put up a naka under the leadership of Sub Inspector Ajmer Lal near Bhatta Road in Gandhi Nagar. Incoming vehicles were being checked. Meanwhile, Ashok Kumar alias Billa son Ashwini Kumar resident of Aman Nagar Jalandhar, Sanjeev Kumar alias Sanju son Baldev Raj resident of Khingra Gate Jalandhar came riding on Activa number PB-08-EE-0183.
On seeing the police started running
As soon as they reached near the naka, they got scared seeing the police. In a panic, turning the Activa back, they started running. When the police suspected something, they surrounded them and caught them. When both were searched, five grams of heroin was found in their possession. Both of them were going to give this dose to someone. While another heroin accused has been apprehended by Ramamandi police in Santoshi Nagar.
Station in-charge Navdeep said that ASI Davinder Kumar was on patrol in Santoshi Nagar along with the police party. During this, he stopped a young man coming on foot. When suspicious of him, searched him. Police recovered five grams of heroin from the possession of the youth. Police station in-charge said that the arrested youth has been identified as Dharampal Singh alias Vicky Putra Lati Singh, resident of Aman Nagar. He said that a case has been registered against the three accused arrested with heroin under the Prevention of Narcotics Act (NDPS Act).
