Four accused are involved in this gang, two are still absconding, the police are raiding for their arrest.
Police have arrested two members of a gang who cheated the hotel operators by posing as municipal employees on the pretext of getting cheap oil. Two other accused involved in the gang are still absconding. In search of them, the police are raiding the possible places. These thugs have cheated lakhs of rupees by making four people a victim of fraud. Incidents of cheating on the pretext of giving cheap oil were happening continuously for the last 15 days. These incidents had also become a headache for the police. The arrested accused have been identified as Gaurav, a resident of Khandsa village in Gurgaon and Rajesh Kumar, a resident of Shaktinagar.
Police spokesman Sube Singh said that two accused involved in this gang are still absconding. Whom the police are looking for. Two cases of cheating are registered against the accused in SGM Nagar police station. In these two cases, the accused have cheated the victims of 01 lakh 60 thousand rupees. The accused are vicious thugs. They used to contact the operators of Dhabas, Hotels, Restaurants etc., posing themselves as employees of the Municipal Corporation, and used to sell the confiscated oil in huge quantity caught during the raid at cheap rates.
They used to abscond on the pretext of getting the receipt.
A police spokesman said that the accused used to call hotel or dhaba operators with them at the gate of the Municipal Corporation and take money from them. He used to abscond on the pretext of getting the receipt cut from inside the corporation so that he did not have any doubts. The accused have made four persons the victim of their fraud, there are three cases registered against the accused Gaurav in Gurgaon. In this way, they do fraudulent work with people.
