Taranga Hill-Ambaji-Abu will be connected to the rail network

The Union Cabinet has approved the connection of Taranga Hill-Ambaji-Abu to the railway network. 116 km Work on this long railway line will be completed in four years. The scheme will cost Rs 2798 crore. The scheme will be completed by 2016-27.
According to the Union Minister, the demand for connecting Abu, Ambaji and Taranga to the railway network had been going on for a long time. Abu, Ambaji and Taranga are the three major pilgrimage sites where a large number of people come. As per the decision of the cabinet, these three places will be connected to the railway network.
The scheme will provide employment to a large number of people. Ambaji is one of the spiritual centers and the oldest Shakti Peetha of India. A large number of pilgrims come here every year from all over the country. This famous tourist spot is also close to the Ajitnath Jain Temple at Mount Abu and the pilgrimage site at Taranga Hill.
