Parth Patel, Ahmedabad: The Unknowns – Art Group was founded in 2015 by young aspiring artist Atri Chetan. The group aims to create awareness among the public about art practices and provide a visible platform for the younger generation of artists, by broadening and bridging the art community. Which shows the gap between artists and society.

Through their continuous efforts, the team of The Unknowns has successfully organized six group exhibitions in six different states of India. These include Odisha (2015), Punjab (2017), Uttar Pradesh (2017), Jammu and Kashmir (2018), Rajasthan (2019) and Assam (2021).

Tea Talk organized weekly virtual talk sessions during the first lockdown

Over the years the troupe has expanded and included more versatile young artists from different parts of India. During the first lockdown in 2020, the group hosted a weekly virtual talk session called Tea Talk. In which native art practitioners along with printmakers and artists from different countries were involved. 31 young artists from 16 states of India have participated in this exhibition.

Atri Chetan, founder of The Unknowns – Art Group shared his thoughts while talking about the journey of organizing this event and said that the process of organizing the seventh event has definitely boosted our collective confidence. We expect to receive a positive. The response from the art lovers and artists of Ahmedabad has been good.

Further stated that we are happy to see the main body of work in the Unknown 7 show. Which truly symbolizes the vision of a unified nation and society. What we understand as artists. I hope this exhibition will be more successful.

Natural life cycles have been damaged in the massive displacement of wildlife and natural resources

Talking to Pinky Mahto, it explains the disruption caused by human civilization. Which has seriously affected the natural habitats. This has resulted in the loss of natural life cycle in massive displacement of wildlife and natural resources. Hailing from the rural areas of Jharkhand, he himself has witnessed the transformation of the rural into the suburb and further the suburb into the metropolis.

He expresses serious concern over the fast-paced lifestyle. And taking advantage of this upgrade. Which is destroying the peaceful scenic environment. Another aspect of her thought process speaks of social injustice towards women and the need for awareness towards gender equality. His artworks consistently depict social, political as well as environmental concerns. which observes its surroundings.
