More than 600 students participated

Surat: A unique competition was held in Adajan area in Surat. More than 600 students from more than 46 Sanskrit schools across the state organized a state level classical competition. In this competition, the students i.e. the Rishi Kumaras had memorized Vedas, Puranas and Srimad Bhagwat Bhagwat Gita. Along with this competition was organized on more than 31 different subjects. A state level Sanskrit competition was organized on the 31st at the Badrinarayan Temple at Adajan, Surat.

More than 600 students participated for the first time

It is worth mentioning that more than 600 students participated in this competition for the first time. The importance of this competition is due to the fact that 600 students had come preparing for different subjects. In it, competition was organized on different topics of our scriptures, including four Vedas, 18 Puranas, grammar, ethics and science. Among which the most important is the counseling competition in which the verse is shown to the competitor by placing a cross at any one place out of 30400 or 500 verses and then the student has to recite the following verses by heart. Thus, teachers and students are also believing that this is the best effort for the enrichment of all the Veda Puranas.Also Read: The per capita water availability of every citizen will be 1700 cubic meters

Rishi Kumaras studying according to Gurukul tradition

The students who participated in this competition i.e. Rishi Kumaras are reciting or studying Sanskrit not only for livelihood but with the noble intention of making people understand that Sanskrit language does not disappear and our eternal culture reaches the people. These Rishi Kumaras who are studying according to the Gurukul tradition are participating in the competition now and are also saying to organize a similar Sanskrit school in the future.
