Home Minister Amit Shah has once again taken critics head on over abrogation of Article 370. Talking about the ‘re-imagined history’ of Jammu and Kashmir and the abrogation of Article 370, Home Minister Amit Shah said that Article 370 was included in the Constitution by Jawaharlal Nehru and caused a great loss to the country. He added that since the abrogation in 2019, Jammu and Kashmir has witnessed a decline in terrorism and terror-related activities and that the UT is on a path to development. The Home Minister also said restoration of statehood to J&K would come up after assembly polls and that a call on timing of elections will be taken by the Election Commission.
