‘BJP spreading lies’: K C Venugopal says party's plenary to be a ‘game changer’ | Latest News India | Times Of Ahmedabad

Congress general secretary K C Venugopal alleged that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is “spreading lies” about the Bharat Jodo Yatra. He termed the foot march as the “biggest political movement”. Venugopal is visiting Chhattisgarh’s Raipur to check preparations for the party’s upcoming plenary meeting.

“They (BJP) spoke about Bharat Jodo Yatra but you saw how it fared. It became one of the biggest political movements in the country. Our plenary will be a game changer of Indian politics,” the Congress leader said.

The 85th plenary session will be held from February 24 to 26 in Raipur. Congress constituted an organising and reception committee for the meeting and general secretary of All India Congress Committee (AICC) Tariq Anwar has been appointed as the convenor of the organising committee. Venugopal will attend a preparatory meeting to take stock of the preparation.

“We have our plenary on 24, 25, and 26 February. I am here to see the preparations for the Plenary. After that, there will be a preparatory meeting. I will leave after that,” he added.
