Protests were held in Turkey and Bangladesh against China’ s atrocities against its Uyghur population. Commemorating the 1997 Ghulja Massacre, people took to the streets in huge numbers in Istanbul and Dhaka. The protestors raised anti- China slogans and paid homage to those killed in the 1997 incident. Activists also called on the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation and its member countries to shun the ‘dual standard policy’ and expose China’s Uyghur Muslim genocide on all international platforms.
