Prime Minister Narendra Modi received a rockstar’s welcome in Shillong where he held an impromptu roadshow ahead of the state assembly polls. The mega roadshow drew massive crowds as people spilled onto the streets to catch a glimpse of the PM. Later, while addressing a poll rally, PM Modi told the people of Meghalaya that they needed a ‘double engine government’ in the state that put ‘people first’ and not ‘family first’ in a direct attack at Congress.
