China has called for peace talks to take place in Ukraine as soon as possible. China released its proposal for a ceasefire on the one-year anniversary of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. Beijing is pushing for a negotiated end to the war after repeatedly suggesting it would be willing to broker any negotiations between the warring countries.
