Pakistan has reportedly stopped clearing bills and salaries amid the economic crisis. According to The News International, Pakistan’s finance ministry has directed the accountant general of revenues (AGPR) to halt the clearing of all bills of federal ministries, divisions, and attached departments until further notice. Sharif’s government’s move comes amid operational cost-related difficulties faced by Pakistan. The Pakistani government has not confirmed the development, according to The News International report. The Sharif government has been using cost-cutting measures to slow down Pakistan’s economic crisis.
