Before Tiger 3 set the cash registers ringing at the box office, Salman Khan went through a dull phase with his films like Antim and Someone’s brother someone’s son (KKBKKJ). The superstar recently opened up about the underperformances of these films and talked about how he released his films under normal ticket prices.
During his recent interaction with the media, Salmandefended his films and said that Antim was released at a point when audience was not ready to go cinemas due to the pandemic.He reasoned that unlike Tiger 3, they kept Antim andSomeone’s brother someone Ki Jaan at popular (normal) ticket prices.
“When the film was released, we didn’t go for blockbuster (expensive ticket) prices. We kept it at popular prices. Dono mein bahut zyada farq hota hai. We released those movies at popular prices. Ek toh acha karo bhai. Humare number kam aa rahe hai, lekin audiences ka paisa bach raha hai na (We did for good. We earned less, but we saved audiences money as well),” Salman told the reporters.
Salman asserted that people went to watch Tiger 3 by spending around Rs 1000-1700 per ticket, while Antim and KKBKKJ were kept at a price range of Rs 250. He then joked, “My next movie will have expensive tickets because you don’t appreciate our intention. Next time, we will show you a bigger number.”

He also said that if KKBKKJ was released today, the movie would have made a lot more numbers than what they were. He claimed that during his last release, there were only 25-30% footfalls in cinemas.

Recently, Salman had expressed his happiness and gratitude to his fans after Tiger 3 turned out to be the biggest Diwali opener. The movie is the third instalment of the Tiger franchise and a part of the YRF Spy Universe with the likes of War and

Pathan.
The first part Ek Tha Tiger, which came in 2012, was directed by Kabir Khan. In 2017, the franchise expanded with Tiger is alive. The second part was directed by Ali Abbas Zafar.
