88k Teachers To Get Cpr Training Today | Ahmedabad News

Ahmedabad: The state education department’s first training camp for cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) for teachers will be conducted on Sunday. Sources said 88,880 teachers will be trained across the state at 37 medical colleges identified by the government.
Following frequent and rising cases of heart attacks amongst students and employees of the school, the department has decided to train teachers in CPR so that they can perform the lifesaving procedure in an emergency before paramedics arrive at the spot.
On November 22, education minister Kuber Dindor had announced that training camps will be organized at 37 medical colleges at 14 places in the state on December 3 and 17.
About 2,500 medical experts from the Indian Society of Anaesthesiologists will train teachers and other school staff. tnn

Four drunk TN school students abuse teachers and headmaster
Four students of a government higher secondary school in Tamil Nadu’s Villupuram district were arrested for creating a ruckus under the influence of alcohol, abusing teachers, and damaging school properties. They consumed liquor in a Tasmac outlet and arrived at the school in an inebriated condition. The students interrupted classes, abused teachers, and issued death threats. They also damaged the school gate and furniture. The incident led to their arrest under various sections of the Indian Penal Code and the Prevention of Damage to Public Property Act.
