Ahmedabad: Two hundred and sixty four students were conferred degrees at the fifth convocation of Anant National University(ANU) on Friday. R N Ravi, governor of Tamil Nadu, was the chief guest at the event. The students wore handwoven khadi stoles to mark the occasion. In his speech, the TN governor said that the students should look back after a few years and ask themselves how have they contributed to the making of the country.
A total of 36 students also received recognition for excellence in innovation and other projects.TNN

Lalduhoma to meet Mizoram governor today, swearing-in likely on Friday
The Zoram People’s Movement (ZPM) led by Lalduhoma will form the new government in Mizoram. The swearing-in ceremony is scheduled to take place at the Raj Bhavan in Aizawl on Friday. Lalduhoma, the chief minister-designate, has informed that the ceremony will be held on December 8 at 11 am. Governor Hari Babu Kambhampati will administer the oath of office to the chief minister and other ministers. Senior officials have discussed the preparations for the ceremony, and all 27 elected ZPM legislators will formally elect Lalduhoma as the leader of the ZPM legislature party.
