In his recent interview, Bobby opened up about shooting for the controversial scene which takes place during the wedding. He told Bollywood Bubble from the time he heard about his character Abrar, he knew there’s so much he could do with it without even speaking a word. In fact, playing a mute character gave him some kind of energy. “It just brought something out in me,” he said.
Talking about how he felt safe with director Sandeep when he shot for the scene with Mansi, Bobby said, “When I was performing, I had no inhibitions. I was just portraying this character who’s like an evil man and this is how he treats his women, this is how he is. And that’s how I portrayed it.”

Recently, Mansi defended the scene while admitting that it is indeed a shocking moment for anyone if something like this happens in real life. She said that it was an apt way to establish Bobby’s character and to show the audience that they can expect the villain to be worse than Ranbir Kapoor‘s character. She also added that she would not wish that to happen to her wedding ever.
After the film’s release, Mansi had penned a heartwarming note for Bobby and how he made her comfortable on the set. “@iambobbydeol sir you truly are a legend. You made me so comfortable on set that it became so easy to share screen space with you. You are not only a great actor but an even better human being. Sir you Very well deserve the tittle ‘Lord bobby’,” she wrote. She also praised Ranbir Kapoor, Triptii Dimri and
Saurabh Sachdeva in her post.
