Mumbai: Bombay Gymkhana beat Sponsor XI by 52 runs on the second day and last day of their match in the 76th Police Invitation Shield Cricket Tournament on Sunday.
Asked to bat first, Bombay Gym had made 300 runs with Omkar Ghule (61, 97b,4×5) being the top scorer. Parag Khanapurkar then restricted Sponsor’s reply to just 248. Pranay Kapadia (41) and Harsh Mogaveera (57) were the major contributors for the beaten team.
Brief Scores: Bombay Gym 300 all out (Bhupen Lalwani 36, Sujay Thakkar 34, Omkar Ghule 61; Khizar Dafedar 5-81, Atharva Dakwey 2-49) bt Sponsor XI 248 all out (Pranay Kapadia 41, Harsh Mogaveera 57; P Khanapurkar 5-58, Anurag Singh 2-50) by 52 runs.

Razing of building won’t hurt tenancy rights: Bombay high court
The Bombay high court vacation bench upheld the BMC’s notice to occupants of a Malad building to shift out for its immediate demolition. The petitioners, including Panbai Gagri, will be entitled to be inducted as tenants when the building is reconstructed. The court granted the petitioners time until December 31 to vacate their commercial premises, with the condition that they will be held responsible for any mishap or danger to life or property.
