Foreign minister S Jaishankar spoke to Palestinian PM Mohammad Shtayyeh on Saturday evening.
According to Jaishankar, Shtayyeh expressed deep concern on the situation in both Gaza and the West Bank.
Jaishankar said he reiterated India’s long-standing position on Palestine. The leaders agreed to remain in touch.
Jaishankar reiterated India’s position in the conversation that International humanitarian law must be respected and that India fully supports dialogue for the2-state solution, while condemning terrorism in all its forms and manifestations.
