Randeep Hooda and Lin Laishram tied the knot on November 29 in ImphalManipur, in an intimate ceremony attended by close family and friends. The couple opted for a traditional Meitei wedding at the Chumthang Shannapung resort, embracing Lin’s Manipuri roots.
In an interview with ANI before the wedding, Randeep explained his decision to have a Manipuri traditional weddingstating that it was a sign of respect for Lin’s heritage.He expressed his excitement about experiencing the ceremony and traditions, even mentioning the unique aspect of Meitei love marriages where the groom has to sit for an extended period. Randeep eagerly anticipated immersing himself in his life partner’s culture and was open to embracing all the rituals sincerely.

During the interview, Randeep shared that he and Lin have known each other for a long time, having initially met in Naseeruddin Shah’s theatre group, Motley. The couple went public with their relationship last year during Diwali, and since then, they have been sharing moments of their journey on social media.

Before their wedding day, Randeep and Lin sought blessings at Ipudhou Marjing Khubamlen and Shri Shri Govindajee temples in Imphal. Randeep expressed his desire for a happy married life and wished for peace in Manipur.

In terms of their professional lives, Lin recently appeared in Sujoy Ghosh‘s mystery thriller ‘Jaane Jaan,’ while Randeep was seen in ‘Sergeant’ and the web series ‘Inspector Avinash.’ He is set to both act in and direct ‘Swatantra Veer Savarkar,’ portraying Vinayak Damodar Savarkar in his upcoming project.
As for the guest list, Randeep mentioned that the wedding was an intimate affair with only him in attendance. The couple’s love story, rooted in their theatre days, has now culminated in a celebration that symbolizes a cultural exchange between east and west.
