ISIS terror conspiracy case: 13 arrested as NIA raids over 40 locations in Karnataka and Maharashtra | Mumbai News

MUMBAI: At least 13 people were arrested on Saturday after the National Investigation Agency (NIA) conducted raids across Karnataka and Maharashtra in connection with the ISIS terror conspiracy case.
Arrests were carried out in Pune, while ongoing raids are being conducted at over 40 locations in both states.
The anti-terror agency sleuths searched one place in Karnataka, two in Pune, nine in Thane city, one in Bhayandar and 31 in Thane Rural, reported ANI.
The anti-terror agency conducted raids at these locations in tight coordination with the police forces of Maharashtra and Karnataka.
The case regarding the alleged ISIS module in Maharashtra was registered by the NIA in June this year.
In July, the NIA arrested Tabish Nasser Siddiqui from Mumbai, Zubair Noor Mohammed Shaikh alias Abu Nusaiba from Pune, Sharjeel Shaikh and Zulfikar Ali Barodawala from Thane, and Dr Adnan Sarkar from Kondhwa, Pune.
