PATNA: With INDIA blog partners trying hard to put up a united face after Congress‘s rout in elections in three key Hindi heartland states – two of which it earlier held – a JD(U) parliamentarian has asked his party’s alliance partners to take a call on the prime ministerial face soon for next year’s Lok Sabhapolls. JD(U), however, reacted strongly to the remarks.Sunil Kumar Pintu, who represents Sitamarhi seat in the Lok Sabha, stressed on Thursday the need to settle two issues as quickly as possible – a PM candidate and seat-sharing. “The first thing the INDIA bloc leaders need to do is to project a PM candidate, and he mustn’t be from Congress; and secondly, the issue of seat-sharing should be sorted out very soon,” Pintu told the media in Delhi, ahead of the opposition alliance’s upcoming meeting on December 17-18.
Stating that his leader, Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar, had been repeatedly raising these two issues, the JD(U) MP said unless they are settled the INDIA bloc can’t perform well in the elections.
