NEW DELHI: The report of the Lok Sabha Ethics Committee “recommending” expulsion of TMC MP Mahua Moitra in the ‘cash for query’ case, listed as part of Monday’s business, was not tabled in the House on the opening day of the winter session, much to the surprise of opposition members.
While other items, including reports on bills seeking to replace criminal laws, listed for presentation were tabled, Kirit Solanki, who presided over the proceedings when LS reassembled after the first adjournment, skipped mentioning the report on want listed as item no 5 under the names of Vinod Sonkar (Chairman of the LS Ethics Committee) and BJP MP Aparajita Sarangi. Moitra said that she would comment on the report after it was tabled.
