    Opposition walkout in Rajya Sabha to protest 'fund blockade' | India News

    NEW DELHI: MPs from various parties of the INDIA blog staged a walkout in the Rajya Sabha on Monday, alleging a “blockade” of funds to opposition-ruled states.
    Trinamool Congress MP, Derek O’Brien said: “All opposition parties walked out of Rajya Sabha this morning, protesting against the Union government’s economic blockade of funds to states run by non-BJP parties.”
    The protesting MPs include leaders from Congress, Trinamool Congress, Aam Aadmi Party, Samajwadi Party, Janata Dal (United), DMK, Rashtriya Janata Dal, Nationalist Congress Party, Communist Party of India (Marxist), CPI and Shiv Sena (UBT), among others.
