Pooja Bags Two Titles At Aita Tournament | Ahmedabad News

Ahmedabad: Maharashtra’s Pooja Ingale enjoyed a double delight on Friday, winning the singles and doubles titles at the All India Tennis Association (AITA) 2.5L women’s tennis tournament, being played in Palodia.
In the singles final, Pooja played the crucial points better to prevail over Priyanshi Bhandari 6-4, 6-4. Pooja and Priyanshi then teamed up to defeat Apurva Vemuri and Abhaya Vemuri 6-2, 6-3 to bag the doubles crown.
Jeshna wins double crown
Aarav Mulay emerged victorious in the boys’ U-12 category at a tennis tournament in Chandkheda on Friday. Aarav defeated Riaan Nandankar in the final 4-6, 6-1, 6-2. Jeshna Mehta was crowned the girls’ champion. She defeated Khanak Raiyani 4-6, 6-4, 6-3. Jeshna won another title when she and Kavya Shah defeated Harsha Deshpande and Vanya Mehta 6-0, 7-5 in the girls’ doubles final. In the boys’ doubles, Aatmaj Lalani and Vihaan Gotecha took the crown, defeating Aarav and Arjav Jain 7-6, 6-2.
Jwalit stars in Royal win
Allround brilliance of Jwalit Rana helped Royal Cricket Academy (RCA) register an easy 44-run win over Savita Sports Academy ‘B’ in their match at SPCT U-12 Cricket Tournament in Ahmedabad on Friday. Satva Gor (27) and Jwalit (17) helped RCA to 134 in 45.1 overs. Pruthviraj and Kunj Modi took two wicets each for Savita. Savita batters, however, had a poor outing and the team was bundled out for 90 in 33.3 overs. Jwalit took four for 19 and was adjudged the man of the match.
