A winning Powerball ticket worth $1 million was bought in New Jersey for Wednesday night’s lottery drawing — one of four second-prize tickets sold across the country.

No one hit the $504 million Powerball jackpot, pushing the top prize for the next drawing on Saturday to an estimated $535 million with a cash option of $257.6 million.

New Jersey Lottery officials will disclose where the $1 million ticket was sold later Thursday. It matched five numbers but not the Powerball.

Wednesday’s winning numbers were: 3, 8, 41, 56 and 64. The Powerball drawn was 18 with a Power Play of 2X.

There was also a $1 million ticket sold in Bay Shore, New York. Tickets valued ar $2 million each were bought in Arkansas and Texas. Those tickets were purchased with the Power Play option for an extra $1 apiece.

In addition, no one hit the secondary, $10 million Double Play drawing. The numbers drawn were: 32, 53, 57, 60 and 63. The Double Play number was 14.

No one has hit the jackpot since Oct. 11 when a ticket worth $1.765 billion was bought in Frazier Park, California — 70 miles north of Los Angeles. Since then 26 drawings have been held without a top prize winner.

The odds of hitting the Powerball jackpot are 292,201,388 to 1. A player who buys a $2 ticket has about a 1 in 11,688,053 chance to match five numbers and win at least $1 million, while the odds are 913,129 to 1 to win a third prize of at least $50,000.

Powerball drawings are held each Monday, Wednesday and Saturday in 45 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

Friday’s Mega Millions jackpot is worth an estimated $28 million with a cash option of $13.3 million.
