Rajasthan: BJP lines up MP & Rajasthan meetings to pick new CMs

BHOPAL/JAIPUR: More than a week after BJP retained Madhya Pradesh at a canter and dealt Congress a drubbing in Rajasthannewly-elected party MLAs of both states are to assemble along with the designated central observers in Bhopal and Jaipur on consecutive days starting Monday to elect the legislature party leaders who would be the chief ministers of their respective states.
The three central observers appointed by the party leadership to supervise the BJP legislature meeting in MP are Haryana CM Manohar Lal Khattar, the party’s OBC Morcha president K Laxman, and national secretary Asha Lakra. Defence minister Rajnath Singh is the central observer for the election of the legislature party leader in Rajasthan. He will be joined by BJP vice-president Saroj Pandey and general secretary Vinod Tawde as co-observers. The Bhopal meeting is scheduled for 4pm.
