After a long hiatus, Rakhee Gulzar is all set to make a comeback in Bengali films. She will soon be seen in Nandita Roy And Shiboprosad Mukherjee‘s ‘Amar Boss‘.
Rakhee Gulzar is set to take on the lead role in ‘Amar Boss,’ directed by Nandita Roy and Shiboprosad Mukherjee. The filming is anticipated to begin on January 3. Additionally, the movie will include Shiboprosad and Srabanti Chatterjee in its cast.

Nandita Roy shared her excitement about the prospect of working with Rakhee Gulzar, expressing a longstanding admiration for Rakhee di and a desire to collaborate.

The concept of ‘Amar Boss’ was conceived with Rakhee in mind, and the team is delighted to have the opportunity to work with her.

Shiboprosad mentioned that they have been in contact with Rakhee di for quite some time. He noted that she has watched most of their films, with her favorite being Haami. Describing her as not only a talented actress but also a warm and straightforward person, Shiboprosad highlighted her deep affection for animals. He expressed pride in the opportunity to collaborate with someone who possesses many mesmerizing qualities.
Rakhee’s last theatrical release in Bengal was Rituparno Ghosh’s ‘Shubho Mahurat’ (2003) even though she was seen in Gautam Halder’s ‘Nirban’, which did rounds of several film festivals in 2019 as it didn’t have a theatrical release. It thus clocks two decades of seeing Rakhee on the big screen in a Bengali film.
