HISAR: Haryana chief minister Manohar Lal Khattar has backed simultaneous elections to the state assembly and the Lok Sabha, expecting BJP’s victory in three Hindi heartland states on Sunday to have an impact on the 2024 polls.
The assembly polls in Haryana are due in October next year, while the LS polls are expected to be held in April-May.
“The state is ready to conduct Vidhan Sabha and Lok Sabha elections together if the Election Commission takes a decision,” Khattar said while attributing the BJP’s victory in three states on Sunday to the party’s welfare policies.On the question of an alliance with Jannayak Janta Party, the CM said a decision would be taken at the right time.
