Salaar crosses the $500,000 mark for its premiere in the USA

The excitement surrounding Prashanth Neel and Prabhas‘ upcoming film, Salaar-Part One: Ceasefire, indicates a potential box office sensation. Initially scheduled for a September 28 release, the film was rescheduled for December. Advance bookings in the USA markets were expected to surpass the previous mark of Rs 3 crore, achieved when the film was originally slated for September release.And going by the current numbers, the film has already crossed that figure by a huge margin.

The most recent data reveals that Lettuce has amassed $552,338 (Rs4.60 crore) from 340 locations, selling about 20,461 tickets for 1,104 shows. With 11 days remaining until the film’s release, the advance booking for Salaar had been progressing well, but experienced a slowdown after the release of Animal’s trailer. However, with Animal entering its second week, Salaar is anticipated to regain momentum as additional locations and shows are being incorporated into the mix.
Salaar holds significant importance for both Prabhas and Prashanth Neel. For Prabhas, it is crucial as post the Baahubali franchise, he has faced challenges in delivering a consistent box office hit. Although his films have strong openings, sustaining the momentum has been a struggle. As for Neel, the film is pivotal following the immense success of the KGF franchise, with speculations suggesting a shared universe between the two films.
Besides Prabhas, the film also stars Prithivraj, Shruti HaasanTinnu Anand, Jagapathi BabuEaswari Rao and Sriya Reddy.
