Woman held for fixing place to stay for Karni Sena chief Gogamedi's killer | India News

JAIPUR: Jaipur police on Monday arrested a woman who, along with her husband, arranged accommodation and weapons for Nitin Fauji, one of the two shooters who killed Shri Rashtriya Rajput Karni Sena chief Sukhdev Singh Gogamedi.
The couple, Pooja Saini and Mahendra Kumar alias Samir, allowed Fauji to stay at their house in the city’s Jagatpura area for eight days before the murder. Samir, who is accused in more than two dozen cases, including murder attemptassault and arms trafficking, is on the run.

Pooja revealed during her interrogation that the couple picked up Fauji when he arrived from Hisar on November 28 and took him home. On the day of the murder, Samir showed more than a dozen pistols and cartridges to Fauji, who selected the murder weapon and magazines for himself and the other shooter, Rohit Rathore, additional DCP (west), Ram Singh Shekhawat said. Samir also gave Fauji Rs 50,000 each for both shooters. An officer said Samir dropped Fauji and Rathore near Gogamedi’s place and wished them luck for their “mission”. During the search of Samir’s house, several vehicle RCs, Aadhaar cards, memory cards, and other evidence were found, which confirmed that he and Pooja operate for the Lawrence Bishnoi gang.
