Actress Grusha Kapoor, who was recently seen in the film ‘Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Ulza Jiya’, has shared her experience of working with superstar Salman Khan. Grusha played a small role in the film ‘Jaanam Samja Karo’ released in 1999. In which Salman and Urmila Matondkar were in lead roles.

Grusha said that Salman once arrived 10 hours late for a shoot. In an interview with YouTuber Siddharth Kanan, Grusha said, ‘Our shift was at Mud Island from 9 am, I reached the location at 8:30 am. The rest of the cast like Urmila also reached the set on time and was just waiting for Salman Khan. Whatever shooting we had to do, we did it without him but Salman did not come. He reached the set around 7 or 8 pm.
Grusha said to the director – what are you waiting for now?
Grusha further said that even when he came to the sets, the shooting had not started for a long time. He sat on one of the sofas near the director wearing a ganji and jeans and talked to him for a long time. Everyone was waiting for Salman to wake up and then finish the rest of the shoot, but while waiting it was 9 pm. My eagerness ended and I went to the director Andaleb Sultanpuri and angrily said, what are we waiting for? It is 9 o’clock.

Salman said – let’s do the scene madam
Salman was sitting next to the director, he looked at me and said – yes, bring my costume. Let’s do the scene madam. Then we shot the scene. I think I made the director’s job easy because no one had the guts to go to Salman and tell him that the shot has been ready for five hours. I don’t think this is Salman’s fault. I think when a director is more capable than an actor he controls everything.

Grusha also said in the interview that she was not aware of Salman’s stardom while working on the film ‘Jaanam Samja Karo’. She was a TV actress and then there was no social media to let her know how big a star Salman was. Later he came to know that Salman has acted in hit films like Maine Pyaar Kiya, Judwaa and Hum Aapke Hai Kaun. Talking about ‘Jaanam Samja Karo’, this film proved to be average at the box office.
