Manisha Koirala worked with Shahrukh Khan in the film ‘Dil Se’ directed by the legendary director of South cinema Mani Ratnam. This film is one of the career films of Manisha Koirala and Shah Rukh Khan. Sharing her experience of working with Shah Rukh in the film, Manisha Koirala says, ‘Even in those days, Shah Rukh Khan was one of the biggest stars in the country, but he didn’t have the slightest bit of pride. Before Manisha Koirala, Tigmanshu Dhulia has also shared stories related to the film ‘Dil Se’ many times. The dialogues of this film have been written by Tigmanshu. Sharing the incident related to Shahrukh Khan, Tigmanshu said- ‘Mani Ratnam used to shoot this film in far away places. One hour was available during lunch break. Shah Rukh would finish his lunch quickly and sleep on the floor. His spot boy would spread a simple sheet and he would lie down for a while.
After the film ‘Khamoshi- The Musical’, Manisha Koirala will be seen in the role of Mallikajan in director Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s period drama series Hiramandi. The series will highlight life in the red-light district of Lahore’s Hiramandi during the Indian independence movement against the British Raj in the 1940s. The series is directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Mitakshara Kumar. Sanjay Leela Bhansali is making his OTT debut through this. Apart from Manisha Koirala, the series also stars Sonakshi Sinha, Aditi Rao Hydari, Richa Chadha, Adhyayan Suman, Shekhar Suman, Fardeen Khan, Sanjida Sheikh and Taha Shah in lead roles.
