New Delhi. The Department of Telecommunications, Government of India has been constantly warning customers about fraud calls, phishing calls and other online fraudulent methods. Even after this, the incidents of fraud are not decreasing. In such a situation, a program named Sanchar Sathi has been started by the Department of Telecommunications. The Government of India has launched the Sanchar Sathi portal to provide special security to all mobile phone users. With the help of this portal, mobile phone users can block their stolen mobile phones, as well as the phone can also be tracked.

In such a situation, now aware people are making good use of this app. For which many people including Ashish Dabas have been thanked by the Department of Telecommunications of the Government of India for timely reporting banking and other frauds happening through phone numbers on this Sanchar Saathi app.

The Department of Telecommunications, Government of India wrote, ‘Thank you for being a good helpful citizen, due to your reports we have been successful in stopping many frauds. With the help of the reports made by you on Chakshu of Sanchar Saathi, we blocked 42 IMEIs all over India related to the three numbers given by you. Along with this, 24,229 mobile numbers were immediately cancelled, which were linked to these 42 IMEIs. Remain such a conscious consumer and keep reporting on Chakshu.’

Let us tell you that under Sanchar Sathi, this Chakshu provides the facility to citizens to report cyber crime, financial fraud, other criminal calls along with any other kind of misuse through SMS or WhatsApp. On this, you can register a complaint about any kind of fraud and other calls received within 30 days.

The government has launched this system to break the back of cyber crime. The Department of Telecommunications has launched the Digital Intelligence Platform and Chakshu as part of the Sanchar Sathi portal.

Chakshu can be used by mobile phone users to report suspected fraudulent calls. User numbers, messages and phishing attempts can be reported through this. At the same time, the Digital Intelligence Platform is an effort to enable sharing of cybercriminal data between banks, social media platforms and wallet operators, so that such fraud can be prevented.
