Till now everything seemed fine, but Trinamool Congress Party supremo and Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, who won more seats than expected in Bengal, took a U-turn from her earlier decision. She said that she will attend the meeting of NITI Aayog. For this, she has reached Delhi on Friday.

CM Mamata Banerjee’s decision has created a stir in the opposition camp. There has been a rift among the parties of the India Alliance over attending the NITI Aayog meeting. In the meeting of the India Alliance parties held at the residence of Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge in Delhi, it was decided to boycott the NITI Aayog meeting. The Chief Ministers of all the India Alliance ruled states had said that they would not attend the NITI Aayog meeting. Now West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee is participating in the meeting. Mamata Banerjee also said that Jharkhand CM Hemant Soren will also participate in it.

Congress, Left and DMK have no votes
Apart from the decision of Mamata Banerjee and Hemant Soren, Congress, Left and DMK have said that they will not attend the meeting of NITI Aayog being held in New Delhi on July 27. Chief Ministers of Congress-ruled states will not attend the meeting. Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann of the ruling Aam Aadmi Party has also said that he will boycott the meeting of NITI Aayog. Southern states Tamil Nadu and Kerala also have the same stand. Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin and Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan will also not attend the meeting of NITI Aayog.
