LEAGUE CITY, Texas (KTRK) — An investigation is underway after a missing man’s body and his motorcycle were found by his own family members and friends on Sunday.
At about 11:36 a.m., the League City Police Department said they received a report of a dead body found about 15 feet below the bridge in the 1000 block of North State Highway 3.
Authorities say the motorcyclist lost control of his bike and went over the edge of a bridge.
According to officials, two northbound lanes of State Highway 3 were closed at Clear Creek for an investigation on Sunday.
Family members told officers that the man had last been heard at around 9:15 p.m. on June 28.
The man’s family and friends searched for him using the Find My Friends app and then located him by vehicle and on foot.
Officers say the family filed a missing person’s report with League City PD on Saturday.
