If you are going to Darjeeling by train, then the nearest railway station is New Jalpaiguri, which is about 88 km away from Darjeeling. If you are traveling by bus, then you can reach Darjeeling, Mirik and Kalimpong by going to Tenzing Norgay Bus Terminal, Siliguri. To reach Darjeeling by bus, one has to go to Siliguri. Darjeeling can be reached in three to four hours by seat sharing buses or jeeps.
