New Delhi. Indian Railways is going to give a big gift to the people living in the border areas of Uttarakhand today. Union Railway Minister Piyush Goyal will inaugurate the Jan Shatabdi Express train named after Maa Purnagiri from Tanakpur Railway Station to Delhi today. The Railway Minister will inaugurate this train virtually at 1:25 pm.
All coaches of the train will be of reserved category. It will also be mandatory for passengers traveling by all regularly running trains to follow the guidelines issued for protection and prevention from Covid-19.
According to railway officials, today the people of Uttarakhand are going to get the gift of a train. Rajya Sabha MP and senior BJP leader Anil Baluni, MP Ajay Tamta and Nainital MP Ajay Bhatt will also be prominently present at the inauguration ceremony.
According to railway officials, the Purnagiri Jan Shatabdi Express train running between Tanakpur and Delhi Junction will have 12 coaches, including two AC and two generator chair cars. 8 chair cars will be non-AC. The travel time between Tanakpur and Delhi has been reported to be 9:45 hours, while people were expecting that after the running of Jan Shatabdi, the travel time between Tanakpur and Delhi will be reduced considerably.
It was expected that the journey would take only 7 hours. After the Jan Shatabdi starts operating, the border area of Tanakpur will now be directly connected to the country’s capital Delhi through rail service. People will get great convenience in commuting. It is said that the people of the border were waiting for this train to run for a long time. Now today their hope is going to be fulfilled.
After the operation of this train, devotees will get great convenience in coming to Maa Purnagiri Dham. Recently, a train was also operated for Triveni by the Railway Ministry. After the virtual inauguration of this train by the Railway Minister today, train number 05325 will leave from Tanakpur to Delhi from Saturday at 11:25 am. After this, on the return, train number 05326 will be operated regularly from Delhi to Tanakpur at 6:10 am the next day.
According to Pankaj, Chief Public Relations Officer of Northeast Railway, train operations will start daily from both sides from Tanakpur and Delhi Junction from February 27. According to the CPRO, the departure time of the inaugural special train is tentative which will depend on the inaugural time of the train. Train number 05323 will be inaugurated by Railway Minister Piyush Goyal through virtual medium today on February 26 at 1:25 pm.

After this, according to its schedule, this train will reach Delhi Junction via Banbasa, Khatima, Pilibhit Junction, Izzat Nagar, Bareilly City, Bareilly Junction, Basharat Ganj, Aonla, Karengi, Dab Tara, Asafpur, Chandausi Junction, Raja Ka Sahaspur, Moradabad, Amroha, Gajraula Junction, Garhmukteshwar, Simbhauli, Hapur, Pilkhua, Ghaziabad, Sahibabad, Delhi Shahdara. The time of arrival at Delhi Junction has been fixed at 11:35 pm. On return also, this train will reach Tanakpur from Delhi Junction via these routes.
