But now art lovers from all over the country are coming forward to learn this art and highlight the culture of Mithila through it. Earlier this painting was in the form of rangoli and was mostly made on mud houses. But as time changed, this painting moved beyond the mud walls and came on clothes and papers. Now this painting is getting recognition all over the world.
People are shopping fiercely
Sangeeta, a resident of Darbhanga, is selling bags, handkerchiefs, sarees and many other things made from Madhubani painting at the Udyog Mela held in Muzaffarpur. She is also explaining Madhubani painting to people. People are also liking it a lot and are buying it in large numbers. Sangeeta makes these paintings herself and also gives training to those who want to learn Madhubani painting. She also has training centers in districts like Muzaffarpur, Darbhanga, Samastipur.
Promoting employment through painting
Sangeeta tells that she makes paintings on three patterns. The first pattern is cultural, in which we make paintings of God as well as depict other dimensions of historical and social importance. The second pattern is that we also show what is happening around us through Madhubani painting. The third is nature, such as trees, plants, animals and birds. We make Madhubani paintings based on all these. Sangeeta tells that we are also getting employment through painting. She gives online and offline training to people to make paintings, so that more and more people can get employment.
