Washington. Former US President Donald Trump was attacked on Sunday when he was addressing a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania. The US Secret Service deployed for his security took him out safely from there in a blink of an eye. After this, Trump thanked the Secret Service and law enforcement for their immediate response to the shooting incident.
Former President Trump posted a post on Truth Social. He said, “I thank the US Secret Service and law enforcement for their immediate response to the firing incident in Butler, Pennsylvania. Donald Trump expressed condolences to the family of the person killed in the rally. Apart from this, he also expressed his condolences to the family of the person injured in the rally. Apart from this, he also said that it is beyond belief that such an act can happen in our country. The death of the shooter has been confirmed.
Former President Trump said in a post on Truth Social, “I was hit by a bullet that hit the top of my right ear. I heard a loud sound and then the shot was fired. I immediately felt the bullet ripping through my skin. There was a lot of bleeding, then I realized what was happening. God save America.”
Homeland Security Secretary Alexandro N. Mayorkas said his department (DHS) and the US Secret Service, along with other law enforcement departments, are investigating the deadly attack on Trump on Saturday. Mayorkas said, “We strongly condemn this violence and appreciate the Secret Service for its immediate action. We are connected with President Biden, former President Trump and their election campaign team and are taking every possible measure to ensure their safety.”
