During an interview on the ‘All-In’ podcast, Trump said, “What I want to do and what I will do is that when you graduate from a college, I think you should automatically get a green card as part of your diploma, a green card to be able to stay in this country.” He also asked to include graduates of two-year junior colleges and doctoral programs in this proposal.

According to a report, the number of Indian students opting for higher education in the US reached an unprecedented level during the 2022-23 academic year. This jump shows a 35 percent increase compared to last year. This remarkable increase shows the growing trend of Indian students seeking educational opportunities abroad, especially in the US.

When asked about his plan to bring the best and brightest from around the world to the US, Trump replied, “I promise that.”

He cited stories of highly skilled graduates from top colleges who were forced to return to their home countries like India and China due to visa restrictions, where they became successful entrepreneurs employing thousands of people. The Green Card, or Permanent Resident Card, is a crucial step towards US citizenship.
