The letter that suddenly went viral on social media about getting 4% increase in Dearness Allowance (DA) before the festival season not only shocked all the government employees but also created an atmosphere of happiness. But now the truth of this letter has come out. PIB has called this letter fake. PIB gave this information in a tweet and said that no such letter has been issued by the Department of Expenditure. It is worth noting that this letter suddenly went viral on social media.
It is noteworthy that the viral letter on social media is said to be from the Department of Expenditure. In this letter dated September 20, it was claimed that the DA of central employees has been increased by 4 percent. After which the DA of government employees has increased from 34 percent to 38 percent. It was also claimed that it will be considered effective from July 1, 2022.
