Mumbai. Marriage is one of the sacred traditions in India. The father of the daughter has to work hard to find a suitable boy. After the matter is settled between the boy and the girl, the further process begins. Nowadays, many such cases are being seen and heard, in which the matter gets spoiled even after the talk of marriage. The dispute increases so much that it reaches the court. One such case has come to light in Mumbai, the capital of Maharashtra. In Ratnagiri district of Maharashtra, a 36-year-old man has been accused of having physical relations with a woman by luring her with marriage. The victim has lodged a complaint of rape with the police. The girl is a resident of Mumbai.
The police officer said that a case has also been registered against two other women in the case. These women have been allegedly accused of abusing the victim over the phone, threatening her and pressuring her not to marry the accused. The officer said that the incident came to light when the 25-year-old victim reached the Chiplun police station with a complaint against the accused. The victim alleges that the accused raped her on the pretext of marriage.
How did you meet the accused?
The officer said that a zero FIR has been registered on the complaint of the girl and it has been transferred to Nehru Nagar Police Station in Central Mumbai. According to the complainant, she came in contact with the accused Aditya Parab through a common friend of her father in the year 2022. The girl’s father was looking for a suitable boy for his daughter. The police officer further said that after a meeting between the two families, the victim decided to marry Aditya Parab. Aditya Parab worked in a private company in Brazil and returned home in August 2023.
Relationships built at home and resort
After returning home, talks of their marriage resumed, but he avoided making any promise citing several reasons to the victim and her family members. The police officer said that when the victim was at the accused’s residence, he had physical relations with her on July 5. The next day, both of them went to Guhagar in Ratnagiri district where they stayed at a resort. The two had physical relations at the resort as well. However, on returning to Mumbai, the accused started avoiding the woman. Aditya also tried to postpone the marriage citing his training and debt burden. The officer said that after realizing that she had been deceived, the victim approached the police and lodged a rape complaint against Aditya Parab.
