Get ready to travel in Rapid Rail from Delhi to Meerut, the queen of speed will be on the track in a few months

In Meerut, work on construction of viaduct is remaining on only two kilometre stretch. The construction work of RRTS stations is also going on at a fast pace. Construction of viaduct up to Sarai Kale Khan in Delhi has been completed.

New Delhi. The construction work of Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut RRTS corridor, which is being built from the capital Delhi to Meerut in UP, is about to be completed. The work of installing viaducts is remaining on only 2 km of this 82 km long corridor. Viaducts have been installed on 80 km. The construction work of RRTS stations is also going on at full speed. It is expected that Namo Bharat Train (Rapid Rail) will start running from Delhi to Meerut by the end of this year. Currently, Namo Bharat Train is running from Sahibabad in Ghaziabad to Modinagar North. In a few days, it will start going to Meerut South.

The total length of the Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut Rapid Rail Corridor is 82 km. Out of this, Rapid Rail i.e. Namo Train is now running on 34 km stretch. Out of the total 82 km stretch, 70 km stretch is elevated. Whereas, Namo Train will run underground on 12 km stretch. 68 km stretch of the Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut RRTS Corridor falls in UP, while 14 km is in Delhi.

Construction remains to be done in just two kilometres
At present, only two kilometer stretch of viaduct construction is remaining in Meerut. Here too the work is going on at a fast pace and it is expected to be completed soon. The work of RRTS station construction is also going on at a fast pace. The construction work of Sarai Kale Khan, New Ashok Nagar and Anand Vihar stations of Delhi section is about to be completed. The construction of viaduct till Sarai Kale Khan has been completed and the work of track laying and overhead electrification (OHE) is going on.

Namo Bharat train will start soon from Sahibabad to Meerut South
Namo Bharat train will soon run from Sahibabad to Meerut South. This will provide convenience to those traveling from Delhi to Meerut. If you travel by Namo Bharat train, it will take half an hour less to reach Meerut from Sahibabad. After the RRTS corridor becomes fully operational, students and working people coming from Meerut to Delhi will benefit a lot. Meerut South will be the first station in Meerut district where Namo Bharat train will arrive first. Metro train services will also start at this station. Vehicle parking will also be built on 13000 square feet of space at this station.
