The price of gold in Delhi bullion market on Tuesday rose by Rs 550 to close at Rs 71,600 per 10 grams. In the previous trading session, gold closed at Rs 71,050 per 10 grams. On the other hand, the price of silver remained unchanged at Rs 84,500 per kg, said the All India Sarafa Association. Traders attributed the rise in gold prices to fresh demand from local jewelers and strong trends in international markets.
Gold prices rise in foreign markets
Globally, gold is trading at $2,432.90 an ounce on Comex, up $7.40 an ounce from its previous close. Silver rose 0.27 percent to $27.94 an ounce on Comex in the international market.
