Prices of gold and silver: There is good news for gold and silver buyers. There has been a decline in the weekly prices of gold and silver. In this business week, the price of gold has declined by Rs 5,087 per 10 grams, while the price of silver has also come down by Rs 6,925 per kg. According to the website of India Bullion and Jewelers Association i.e. IBJA, at the beginning of this business week on July 22, the rate of 24 carat gold was Rs 73,218, which has increased to Rs 68,131 per 10 grams by the last business day i.e. July 26. At the same time, the price of 999 purity silver has come down from Rs 88,196 to Rs 81,271 per kg.
It is worth mentioning that the prices issued by IBJA provide information about the standard price of gold of different purities. All these prices are before tax and making charges. The rates issued by IBJA are accepted across the country but GST is not included in its prices.
