This new OS will also get new AI features and home screen customization option. Privacy features have also been improved in Apple iOS 18. This also includes the ability to control how data is shared with apps. With iOS 18, users will be able to share certain contacts with apps instead of giving access to their entire contact list.

Apart from this, in the new iOS, users will also be able to lock some apps from their home screen, which will prevent unauthorized users from accessing these apps without biometric authentication or the device’s passcode.

iOS 18 also brings lock screen customization. This will allow users to add more shortcuts to the lock screen to open apps directly without or while unlocking their iPhone, including flashlight and camera shortcuts. iOS 18 will allow users to apply FaceID lock to all apps on the device. Users can also hide some apps.

iOS 18 brings many features including RCS image support and new emoji reactions in iMessage. Apart from this, some text effects have been added to iMessage.

New feature added to Siri too!
Siri is getting an upgrade with iOS 18 to make the assistant more accessible, with a new interface and app icon. Apple says the virtual assistant will allow users to use voice commands as well as type into Siri.

Siri will also get on-screen features powered by Apple Intelligence, the company’s privacy-focused artificial intelligence (AI) system that will be rolled out later this year. Apple Intelligence is currently available in beta form in the US and only on two smartphones – the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max.
