New Delhi. The country’s largest car company Maruti Suzuki India has recalled 16,000 cars due to engine problems. This includes 2 models of the company’s cars and both of these models are the best-selling ones. The company announced on Friday, March 22 that any customer who has these models should take them to their nearest service center and get the necessary changes done.

According to the announcement issued by Maruti, this defect has occurred in the Baleno and Wagon R model cars. About 16 thousand cars of these two models have a problem with the fuel pump motor. Due to this, there is a problem in starting the car. Along with the problem in starting the engines of these cars, these cars also stop while running. Therefore, the company has appealed to the owners of these cars to take them to the nearest service center and get the component replaced.

How many cars of which model
According to Maruti, this problem has occurred in 11,851 Baleno cars, while 4,190 WagonR cars are facing this problem in their engines. To avoid the car owners from suffering due to this and to avoid any inconvenience, the faulty equipment can be replaced at the company’s service center.

The whole change will be done for free
Maruti has said that customers who are facing this problem in their cars can go to the nearest service center and get the equipment replaced for free. There is no need to pay a single penny for this. The company has said that these cars were manufactured between July 30, 2019 and November 1, 2019. The company has said that the fuel pump motor of the engine of the cars manufactured during this period has developed a defect. This may cause problems in starting the engines of some cars.

88 thousand cars were recalled last year
This is not the first time that Maruti has recalled its cars due to a defect. Earlier, 87,599 cars were recalled in July 2023. This included models like S-Presso and Eeco. The company had said that the steering rod of these cars manufactured between July 5, 2021 and February 15, 2023 had a defect. However, recently the most cars have been recalled by Maruti.
