New Delhi. The month of May has started and Maruti Suzuki has a huge pending order. According to a report, Maruti Suzuki has a pending order of about 2,00,000 units. The company’s 7-seater car Ertiga has a significant share among these pending orders. According to the information, Maruti Ertiga has about 60,000 pending orders. The total pending order of CNG vehicles is 1,10,000 units.
The company has assured that the new assembly line started at the Manesar plant with an additional capacity of 1,00,000 units will be used mainly to meet the demand for Ertiga. The company aims to sell 6,00,000 CNG cars in FY 2025, in which Ertiga will also have a significant share. According to the company, there is a significant increase in the demand for Ertiga CNG.
Ertiga CNG sales increased
According to the company, the total sales of Ertiga will cross 10 lakh units in 2024. These include a large number of CNG variants. By the year 2019, 5 lakh units of this MPV were sold. Interestingly, the CNG variant was launched in February 2020.
On the other hand, within 12 months of this year, Ertiga sales reached 6 lakh units. It took more than 7 years for the MPV to reach the first 5 lakh unit mark, but due to the huge demand for the CNG variant, it took only 4 years to reach the next 5 lakh unit sales mark.
Its average sales during the fourth quarter of the last financial year was 15,000 units, which totaled 45000 units at the end of the quarter.
