Agra. The police keeps getting various types of information on phone. Sometimes these are fake calls and sometimes big cases are caught with the help of these information. Similarly, GRP Agra received an information through phone. While working on this, the police had to take a big step and searched every corner of Sachkhand Express very carefully. It is a matter of relief that this information proved to be correct and the police got a big success. From here, 2 smugglers have been arrested along with the goods.
Train is becoming a convenient mode of transport for ganja, opium and silver smugglers. Even the best efforts of GRP are not able to curb the smugglers. Recently, a person was caught smuggling liquor in connivance with the coach attendant. Now on Tuesday, GRP Agra Cantt has caught two silver smugglers from Sachkhand Express. 42 kg silver has been recovered from their possession. The smugglers were bringing silver from Aurangabad in Maharashtra.
Silver worth Rs 37 lakh and cash worth more than Rs 3 lakh

Silver was being sold in Agra, tax was being evaded
The Income Tax and GST departments have been informed about this. The smugglers caught include Jhansi resident Manish Chokse and Agra resident Atul Shivhare. During interrogation, the accused said that we bring silver and silver jewellery from Aurangabad in Maharashtra. We sell it to shopkeepers at various places in Agra. This saves tax and gives good profits. The accused could not show any documents regarding silver and cash.
