Because many Congress leaders and children of leaders have been included in the Wildlife Board. Now Forest Minister Ishwar Khandre has given clarification in this matter. According to the rules, three legislative members, three representatives of NGOs working in the field of wildlife conservation and 10 eminent conservationists, ecologists and environmentalists have been included in the Wildlife Board. But questions are being raised on the inclusion of children of Congress leaders in the board.

According to reports, MB Patil’s son Dhruv M Patil, former mining minister and Dharwad MLA Vinay Kulkarni’s daughter Vaishali Kulkarni and Congress spokesperson Sanket Poovayya have been included in the board as environmentalists. Along with them, Ramdurg MLA Ashok Pattan, Gundlupet MLA HM Ganesh Prasad and MLC Puttanna have also been given a place. BJP is also cornering Congress over this.

But now the state’s forest minister has said that all the allegations are politically motivated. In an exclusive interview with News18, he said, “We have chosen passionate people for this work. This should not be seen through political lens. These youths have that passion and motivation. They want to work a lot for wildlife conservation. So why should they not be given an opportunity? What is wrong in this? They are not just photographers. They have two to three years of experience studying animal behavior. They want to hone their skills. They have a sense of reality.”
